Career Exploration

Advanced Academic Programs equips full-time working adults with knowledge essential for advancing professional careers. Career Exploration equips the graduate scholar with strategies and tactics essential for making a career transition.

Career Exploration is learning job-searching skills for a lifetime. A broad and reflective discussion of the past, as well as present and future plans of individual students, is the distinctive approach of Dr. Catherine Rossi, Senior Director, Programs and Services.

Dr. Rossi explains, "The average adult will transition in employment many times, either by choice or by force, over a working lifetime. When our scholars face these choices, I want for them to remember they have the tools and experience to handle the transition with confidence because they have practiced. They must know themselves at a deeper level, have confidence that winds may blow, but the standards of excellence in their education will remain a strong foundation."

Join the AAP Virtual Career Network at advancedcareersjhu.aristotlecentral.com where students, faculty and alumni network and post employment opportunities.

Assessment tools, such as the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicactor® and the FIRO-B are available to students (web-based for convenience) for a small fee.
