News - Biotechnology Graduate Chosen to Participate in FDA Commissioner's Fellowship ProgramEmail to a friend
Dr. Bharat Khurana, a May, 2009, graduate of the MS Biotechnology/MBA program, was selected from more than 1,000 candidates to participate in the FDA Commissioner's Fellowship Program's second batch. The FDA Commissioner's Fellowship Program is a highly competitive two-year program designed to attract top-notch scientists, engineers and health professionals to the agency. The Commissioner's Fellowship program is a unique opportunity due to its regulatory focus. The FDA Commissioner's Fellowship Program will provide participants with advanced training in the scientific analysis involved in the safety and regulatory decisions unique to the agency's mission. Dr. Khurana was also part of the Johns Hopkins team that competed in February in the Kellogg Genzyme Business Case competition. He will be teaching a new online course in Spring, 2010 entitled Regulatory Strategies in Biopharmaceutical Business.
